When I asked my loving husband if he had any cookie requests he immediately barked back, "Peanut Butter and Chocolate!! Like the ones at Old School Bagel!!"
Well...I couldn't find the exact recipe that Old School Bagel uses for their Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk, so I went with good old Martha's version found here. I figure linking the recipe is easier than listing it out.
They turned out pretty good. A little dry, but not too bad.
A few things I've discovered with Day 1 under my belt:
- I need a cookie scoop
- I am going to need bigger pants
- Loving hubs is going to need bigger pants
- I need a bigger dishwasher (because I hate washing dishes by hand)
- You should never put cookies in the oven and then make a phone call for work. Said phone call will inevitably last longer than you anticipated and this will result in slightly crisp cookies. I mean, I can only imagine this is what would happen. Ahem.
Just for fun, (and I know when you think of me, you think of FUN), I am going to keep track of the pounds of butter, flour and sugar I use. I think it will be both impressive and slightly disgusting when I look at the final totals.
Welp, see you tomorrow.

I love this! I am so jealous I am not a neighbor that just happens to drop by every evening for a tasty snack. I'm not sure I want to see the butter results--yech.
I'm so excited about this!!!
