Day 3: Because I needed some consoling after yesterday's cookie fail

I resigned to throwing away yesterday's cookies. They really weren't tasty...I just told you all that to make myself feel a little better about how they looked. Epic fail. So today, I went with one of my favorites. I am fairly confident my loving husband does not like these, which means more for me, which is just what I need. I present to you Mexican Chocolate Cookies:

The combo of dark chocolate, cinnamon and pepper makes these little delights extra tasty. The recipe is from the 2009 Holiday edition of Cooking Light magazine. You can find it here.

I don't mean to be cocky, but I am glad to be back on my game. These were neither burned nor ugly. And that my friends is why Day 3 is a win-win.
