Anyway, back to the excitement in the family- our new pug. We have settled on the name Hank, as it seems to fit him pretty well. Lola is not so sure of Hank. Her ears have been permanently pinned back, making her even more bug-eyed than she already was, so that's a minus. The plus is that Hank is so laid back he hardly notices Lola is in the room. Even when she snarls at him for jumping up and demanding my attention when I come home from work, he just seems to ignore her. It's great to be fought over, even if it is by alien- looking like dogs.
Lola and Hank both like to sleep on my lap at the same time, which could soon become a contribution to cute overload. Seriously. It's the cutest thing ever. Hank eats about four bowls of food a day and could turn out to be a miniature mastiff if I don't watch out. Lola on the other hand has been pouting and only eating peanut butter for the past four days as I think she's pissed he keeps eating her food. The boy needs to gain some weight and she could stand to lose some, so I am hoping for the perfect pug balance here. Thankfully, I have not knocked either of them off the bed yet, so that is pretty exciting.
While Hank does have some personal space issues ( I am currently only typing with one hand as he insists on my other hand being on his head) he is also somewhat lazy. The minute I scratch his chest, he is out and snoring louder than my loving husband. Awesome. I have a narcoleptic pug who needs breathe right strips.
I wish I had some pics to post, but I really suck at the picture thing. I have never really been into photography and my batteries are dead on my camera and even if there were batteries in my camera I still don't have any idea how to get them off the camera and onto the computer. I promise to have my loving husband help me fix this problem soon.
As I read back over this post, I realize I kind of sound like a parent blogging all about their children as many bloggers do. I hope you will forgive my indulgence in wanting to share my pug stories with you, as they are in essence, my children. I just hope if and when we do have actual children, of the human variety, they aren't nearly as ugly as my current ones and they don't wheeze and sneeze and snore and snort all over me. But for now, I am pretty happy with the ones I've got. Even if I did just turn up the tv because I can't hear it over Hank's snoring.
Update: My loving husband came through! Here is a picture of Hank from his iphone.
