untitled

Well....hello. I will start by being perfectly honest with my 7 loyal, faithful readers. I have contemplated writing a "Bye, Bye Bloggie" post and bidding adieu to this thing about 49 times in the past month. I have no voice. No inspiration. No motivation to share or write or talk or really do much of anything. It's sad, really. Or pathetic. Take your pick. But even writing a goodbye to the blog post would take effort and for some reason I have absolutely none of it right now.

But. I have mustered up the strength to put keep going and throw this post together. It pretty much sucks. Fair warning. But I'm just trying to push through this temporary lapse in blogging enthusiasm.

There have been a few exciting things that have happened in the past couple of weeks that I will tell you about in two lovely, little bullet points:

- A few weeks ago, I met The Pioneer Woman (yes, her!) with my bestie (whom I call ME and promised a shout out to--- so hello ME!) PW is as sweet and funny in person as she is in her blog. And she signed my cookbook. I really intended to tell her she should get a pug, since she often writes about that, but I got distracted and just asked her to sign my book instead. Was a fun evening for sure!

- My sister is engaged! Let the wedding planning begin! My loving husband has had to remind me that my time was three years ago and to let little sis do her own thing, but I can't help but jump in there and want to help her try on dresses and organize seating charts and pick menus and colors and decor. Oh my!

Aaaannnd that's about it. In other exciting news, my most favoritest holiday of them all is this week! Christmas music has started creeping into my beloved holiday's timeshare and that is angering me greatly, but I am learning to tune it out.

I am not hosting the big meal this year....and truthfully, that's ok by me. It has been nice to not stress about enough seating or two turkeys or timing my side dishes or bloody mary bars at 8am for my crazy family.

We are traveling north to Kansas to spend time with both sides of the family. The fact that both my family and my loving husband's family live in Wichita was another reason I decided to marry him. True story. My initials didn't change and we would never have to travel far to see both sides of the family. That and I loved him. But honestly, those first two items were definitely high up there on the "pro" list :)

In closing, I've decided I need a hobby. Maybe it's the insane amount of football that my loving husband watches that has pushed me over the edge, but I simply cannot sit on this couch and watch athletically talented men in shoulder pads hit one another much longer. I need to DO something. Something besides work. So, I am taking suggestions. Please keep in mind I do not participate in any form of sports whatsoever. Thus, I have contemplated cookie decorating (cookie, not cake), photography, learning to play the guitar, studying mandarin Chinese (kidding, kind of) or knitting. Knitting and baking- my gosh when did I become so old.

You should learn how to be an electrician. Then come over.

I think you should write a book...about something...not sure what, but your the writer so that's your job. Why don't you pick something else to blog about like whatever hobby you come up with. You could be like the PW or that movie they made with M Streep and Amy Adams? If you attempt any of those things then I would like a shout out like ME!
