Finally, Fall!

Yesterday morning, I plopped myself in front of the tv while I ate a delicious blueberry scone for breakfast. As I listened to my friendly weatherman, he informed me that it was the last morning of summer and we were headed for the first afternoon of fall. I don't quite understand solstices, so I really don't understand how summer and fall could simultaneously occur without the world combusting or something, but I leave all that stuff to the scientists. I am just happy my favorite season has arrived!

A few of my favorite fall things:

Foliage! Again with the science thing- I really don't understand how this whole leaves changing thing works- chloroform, temperature- heck I don't know, but I think it is the most beautiful time of the year!

Football Games! Now, I am inserting a tiny bit of sarcasm, but I much prefer going to games when there is a chill in the air. Before the start of fall, while we are still in the summer months, games are filled with sweaty people who are packed in to a stadium and when their team scores they throw up their arms in excitement and I nearly pass out from the smell. Football games in the fall are much better. So are people who regularly use deodorant. But, I digress.

Wedding Anniversary! It has almost been 1 year since my loving husband and I said "I Do" and October 13 is still my favorite day of the year! I am looking forward to celebrating it in just a few weeks and for many more years to come.

Halloween Candy! Who doesn't love candy? And we have a holiday dedicated to eating it? Even better!
Thanksgiving! My all time favorite holiday. Yes, even more so than Christmas. It is all about family, relaxing, eating, giving thanks, and it always falls on a Thursday. And I always have that Friday off. I love consistency!

Happy Fall Everyone!

Thanks for the comments LM. I'm pretty sure that you are the only person that reads my blog, but its OK. Its quality not quantity, right? I'll be sure to cake on the deodorant before Saturday's game ;-).
