here for now

Well folks, the tournament is just one week away. I am mentally and physically trying to psych myself up for the next month, as I will not get a day off until May 22. After the LPGA event in Tulsa, I will travel to lovely New Jersey for another LPGA event and then finally return home for hopefully a couple of days off. I know the Tournament is around the corner as insomnia has set in. I am thinking about going to bed tonight at 8:00 so I can get a solid 6 hours of sleep in before I wake up for my usual 2:00am panic as I rush to my notepad to write down things that I haven't done/need to do/forgot to do/don't want to forget to do.

I have been avoiding my blog for a few days as there are currently too many things crammed into my little head that have nothing to do with my personal life, but rather my professional life. I did, however, have a wonderful evening with my husband last night, and a wonderful Friday evening with my friend Tabs and my sister, Sarah, so I thought I would make an effort to capture these memories as I know they will be few and far between for a while.

On Friday, I rushed out of the office and Tabs met me at my house and we headed for StillH2O. My incredibly talented sister was a principal role in the musical Sweet Charity at OSU. She was so good! I was so proud! Since she is a senior, I was really glad I got to go see her. She is the fourth from the right.

On Saturday, after a day full of moving my office into a trailer at the golf course, we went to dinner at this new restaurant, The Local Table, which is just down the street from us. It was so good! It was comfort food, but all the ingredients are locally grown. Or, so I am told they are locally grown (hence the name of the restaurant). But, Matt had Salmon, and seeing how we live in Oklahoma, I am a little confused about how they got that locally. Huh. I digress.

Anyhow, we came back home and watched V for Vendetta. Matt has been telling me I would like this movie, and I have been disagreeing with him, but after I watched it, I can safely say, I was wrong. It was very interesting and somewhat thought-provoking, which I always appreciate.

After lunch, brunch and few hours in the office today, my weekend has come to a close. It is almost eight o'clock so I have to go get ready for bed now, in preparation for my impending insomniac attack.

See you in late May.
