Travelin' (wo)Man

I feel like a traveling fool. Lately I have been unpacking my suitcase only to repack it again. Some days it gets me down and other days (most days) I realize how incredibly blessed I am to be able to enjoy what I do and get to see some sights along the way.

After two weeks in beautiful New Jersey, I made another trip to Arkansas. Now, I am headed to Colorado today. Vail/Eagle area to be exact. I am ridiculously excited to see my friend Tiff and her new home! My loving husband has a conference up there and I am tagging along.

Then, back to Arkansas.

Then, I am staring down a three week European adventure. (for work)

Let's talk about the latter. The last time I was in Europe, the Euro had not even taken effect. I barely spoke the native language (French) and I stayed with a host family who did not let me shower everyday. The horror. So my fuzzy memories are not the best.

I am excited that I am going to be in a region that speaks English, although Scottish people kind of scare me. When they get going, I can barely understand them. I wonder if they feel the same way about me and my Oklahoma accent. We'll see.

I am beyond nervous about taking the Tube to work for a week. I can navigate New York's subway system no problem and I am praying to the travel gods that it is relatively similar.

I have checked out every single travel guide on the United Kingdom that my handy local library will allow. I have renewed every single travel guide once and plan to do so again.

I hope to be able to update the old blog with my adventures as I am already envisioning self-deprecating stories at their finest.

If anyone even reads this thing anymore and has any advice/recommendations on restaurants, pubs, sights, etc. I welcome your suggestions. I will mostly be in London and Scotland. Thanks for the help.

Now I am off to the airport again.
