kick off your collar and stay a while...

So, my precious little Hank refuses to wear his collar. It doesn't matter how snug I put it on him, by the end of the day, he has managed to get it off his neck and hide it under the couch. I thought it was funny and cute the first time it happened, but now he has hidden it so well, I can't find it anywhere. I think if Hank were a person, he would have commitment issues and would not like to feel tied down. Just a hunch. In other pug news, Hank and Lola are finally getting along a little bit better. I took this picture as evidence and a way to remind myself that they are in fact good for each even though I think their aggressive behavior will someday result in one of them losing an eye. As if they weren't ugly enough.

In house news, our new couch arrived! The glorious piece of furniture that took me weeks to pick out is finally here. And I love it. I was petrified I would come home to see it upholstered and absolutely hate it and my loving husband would have to bring me a paper bag and a box of Kleenex just so I could break the news to him that we spent all that time and money for nothing. But alas, no meltdowns here. Just some quality lounging and movie watching.
Wait, what? Those of you who know me in real life are screaming out loud, "She doesn't watch movies!"?? Well, my friends you are correct, but we did happen to watch one last night. We watched Vicky Christina Barcelona. I was intrigued by the title and know that Penelope Cruz won an Oscar for it. I thought it was a quirky, charming comedy-ish sort of film, but my loving husband hated it. It could be because half of it is in subtitles and because of the way our tv formatted the film, you could only read half the words on the bottom and the other half were cut off. We didn't figure out how to fix it until after the movie was over. Whoops. Oh well. I was still able to figure out what was going on. And with that, I have met my movie quota for the year.

Lately, work has kept both my loving husband and I incredibly busy and I feel as if my life is turning into one giant meeting. I looked back through my calendar and I spent a total of 14 hours in meetings this past week. That may not seem a lot to you, but I am used to spending 3-4 hours in meetings each week. So 14 makes my left eye start to twitch a little bit. And then I made the mistake of looking ahead to this week and realized I have even more meetings scheduled this coming week than I did last week. And that made my right eye start to twitch a little bit.
I think I need a nap.....
