East Coast Memoirs

Things I miss about the East Coast:

1. Dunkin' Donuts

2. Sam Adams Summer Ale on tap

3. People who let you mind your business because they are too busy to care

4. Dunkin' Donuts

5. Guido hunting

6. The energy of Manhattan

7. Public Transit that actually works

8. Dunkin' Donuts

9. Foggy mornings on the beaches of Cape Cod

10. Pizza. Real Pizza.

Things I do not miss about the East Coast:

1. Traffic

2. People who do not hold the door open for you

3. When driving North, you're really driving East, but no one bothers to tell you that when giving directions

4. Traffic

5. The hustle and bustle and added stress of always feeling like you are late for something

6. No ranch dressing in a four state radius

7. Traffic

8. Trash day in Manhattan. Enough said.

9. No biscuits. No gravy.

10. Their pathetic attempts at Mexican food.

So, those were mostly all food. But what did you really expect? Loving hubs and I are just back from a two week adventure on the East Coast and I thought I'd give you a brief, but honest recap.

I had my annual 10 day trip to New Jersey, followed by a quick night's stay in NYC, an amazing visit with an old, dear friend and her new, adorable baby. Then a 4 hour train ride up the coast to the town of Cambridge to watch my brother-in-law graduate law school. CONGRATS Loving hubs' little bro! Add a couple of vacay days on Cape Cod and I've now spent the majority of the month of May on the road.

While it is good to be home, it was a wonderful trip.

Too cute, Lisa! I just started blogging a few days ago and when I told David yesterday he pointed me to yours. This NYC post especially hits home since we just got back. :)
