Bringin' It On Down

I am not sure why I feel compelled to write this...I am actually in a splendid mood thanks to a delightful Sunday afternoon spent with my adorable sister. Seriously. She's adorable. If you haven't met her, you should.

Ok, back to me complaining. I experienced three of my least favorite things today and they're fairly random, so let's discuss:

Numero Uno....the heat. Hot weather. As in, it's freaking hot outside. And it makes me irritated. I might possibly be the most un-athletic person to ever grace this earth, so when I say, "I don't sweat." I mean it. I don't. Never seen the point. When I am forced to think about breaking a sweat because I have to walk three feet to my car, I get ridiculously annoyed. It's triple digit heat (and that's heat, not heat index) for the next seven days here. I would give my left arm for football season to quit teasing us and make its triumphant return and bring with it a refreshing autumn breeze.....Ahhh, fall. How I heart you.

Numero Dos.....cleaning toilets. I detest this task. I find it slightly degrading to scrub these appliances (is that the right word?) back to sanitation. And for those of you who know me in real life and have visited my home and are now frantically wondering if I cleaned them for you and your arrival, the answer is yes. Yes, I did. But I hated every minute of it. Just so you know.....and appreciate my sparkling guest bath the next time you use it :)

Numero Tres.....Saran wrap. I cannot stand this stuff. It never sticks to what I need it to stick to and it always ends up in a tangled mess and I kinda, sorta threw the whole roll away in a fit of frustration today. Whoops. I'm going to stick to covering my food with foil. Works just the same and you get to make fun animal shapes out of it when you are finished. A win-win all around.

This post is terrible. I do apologize. I'll leave you with a random thought....did you know the Dali Lama tweets? True story.

Oh, how I love you. Oddly enough, yesterday Jason had a fight with the Saran Wrap too. He yelled at me to come in and help, because apparently "it's a mom skill that he won't ever acquire". Maybe having a baby will help. Just a thought. I'm so funny.
