And so concludes the SemGroup Championship. Next up, The Sybase Classic in beautiful New Jersey. Now, I don't know if you know this about me, but as a general rule, my least favorite state in the union is Florida, followed by a not-so-distant second of New Jersey. So far this year, I have traveled to both states for golf tournaments. Now, I know I should not be complaining about traveling, but could I at least go and run an event in some of my favorite states? Like, maybe Colorado or Oregon or even Vermont? The scenery sure would outshine lovely Newark and the parking lot that is Naples, Fla.
People born and raised in the state tend to tell me that New Jersey is beautiful and I should not base my thoughts on first glance. But all I can do is glance and think about how I would rather just keep heading North up the coast instead of dwelling in ports of industry and pizza joints. (If you have ever been to Newark or Elizabeth or even watched the intro to Sopranos, you will know what I mean). But, to New Jersey I will begrudgingly go.

In summarizing my thoughts on the Tournament, we had a great champion and a great finish. Thank goodness we do sudden death playoffs. Probably the most upsetting part of Sunday was when I had to part ways with my beloved trophy. I picked this puppy out and was a bit, how should I say, controlling about who touched it prior to the 18th green ceremony. I guess I should just strive to work hard enough to earn one of my own someday....although I am not really sure what I would have to do to win it.

I am looking forward to wrapping up the month of May and enjoying the summer. Hopefully it will be a good one. I couldn't conclude without mentioning the exciting things that are going on in my friends' lives...one of my dearest friends is engaged and I am so freaking excited for her and some of our friends who live in Houston just found out they are expecting a baby! So exciting! Showers all around.

Oh, I love the worm! Things I will miss about Tulsa: Bettina, Club Specials, racing down 10 with Doug holding the trophy for dear life, bottles of wine on the Sunset Tour, Peggy (yes, I mean no, I will not miss that).
